Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru
Surface area: 10 ares on the southern side of the Route des Grands Crus.
Mazoyères Chambertin is an atypical Grand Cru. It is located in the commune of Gevrey Chambertin, but close to the village of Morey Saint Denis (400 m).
Situated below the Combe Grisard, it benefits from sediments accumulated over 20,000 million years ago; its soil is therefore very stony, gravelly and sandy, making it very draining.
The wines produced from this parcel are very airy, with pronounced notes of violets and roses. The color is light, the tannins very fine and silky. On the palate, they surprise with their delicate touch on a very long finish.
